Have you tapped into your inner Pharmacy?

Have you ever been to a pharmacy?

You would say of course … don’t be silly, Arun!

Medications, scripts, supplements and a lot more…especially in these COVID times. Even the slightest tickle in the throat brings about those fearful thoughts of a lurking COVID virus.

However, has it ever occurred to you that you could tap into a perhaps more powerful inner pharmacy?

What do I mean?

Your “Inner” Pharmacy

The human body makes approximately 1300 “drugs”- called hormones, peptides and neurotransmitters and the types that have a strong influence on what our cells do.

This is your real inner pharmacy.

The data is so convincing that this 30 yr study it highlights the impact of long term psychological stress on – both cellular and humoral immunity.

Without going into the details, the cellular and humoral immunity are responsible for the production of Immunoglobulins and antibodies that prevent viruses and toxins from getting into your cells and creating havoc.

This is what eventually creates DISEASE.

What we don’t realise is that every time we have a fearful thought, we trigger our stress response – the classic fight or flight mechanism that we are naturally wired for.

However, what creates STRESS?

It’s not always what happens to us that creates STRESS.

SOMETIMES (in fact most times) it’s what we make of it that causes STRESS.

How you interpret it. How you think about it.

Feeling a certain way causes you to think a certain way. This then causes you to act a certain way. Particular thoughts inspire particular actions and encourage particular emotions.

This is a loop that most of us find ourselves in, during times of crisis.

And we struggle to recognise it, because we are so caught up in the story.

Ultimately, the way you think and feel is what determines your behaviours and your actions.

The privilege of being human is that we can make thought more real that REALITY.

Haven’t we all done it? Hence, there is credence in the quote, “When you change your thinking, you change your life.”

the thinking loop

The body of scientific evidence is only growing by the minute on how stress can influence our immune system.

However, we almost seem to be drowning in an ocean of information.

All my life I have been a pragmatist, a doer. Maybe that’s why I became a surgeon.

I have a vision to create a community of doers. People who lead by example, not just theory.

If you resonate with this, then join me for my forthcoming Radical Wellness class where I blend evidence-based information with the use of practical tools such as Yoga and Meditation to help you on a healing journey.

5 pillars
Our next Radical Wellness Class will focus on the above concepts and get practical insights on how we can understand better on how our thoughts become our reality. This practical 90 minute class will also give you an opportunity to engage in a practical mind-body exercise, and also give you a taste of meditation.
